Cheers Lew.

Yes, I think he'll supply strikers with quality ball and maybe get a few goals himself. Spoke to him last night to inform him and he's going for a run tonight with Jordan. So it sounds like he's going to have a go!

One thing I meant to mention on my last post was that I noticed Miller from Gors has a trial and rightly so, he's a nice player but the last 3 or 4 times that we played Gors, Chris Butt has been outstanding. Surprised he's been overlooked.
What you think Lew?

the two players from gors uv mentioned are both good players migeul both look comfortable on the ball,to be fair its pretty mutch impossible to pick the best team in west wales without knowing all the teams and players its just too wide an area to cover to get to see players and obviously its pointless watching players agaiinst poor opposition the man in charge needs to see them in good qaulity games,it would be a lot easier if it were swansea against carmarthen amd neath and pembroke again they could maybe play that competition again and pick a sqaud from that .

Glad to see that Kyle is selected in the trial. Connie will see him on Saturday anyway as Ragged play Dockers at Ashlands. They've had 3 cracking games already this season so i'll be watching this one. Kyle is a rare talent at amateur level and I still think that he could play at a much higher level given the correct coaching and guidance. That's not being disrespectful to all the Dockers managers/coaches because they've done a great job at the club.

Being a bit of Dockers fan, I think if the 3 that have been chosen for the trial play reasonably well, all 3 will make the squad. Rob Clarke rarely misses a game and is Dockers Captain and has played well every time I have seen him this season.
Ray Alli is a powerhouse that possesses all attributes such as good touch, great in the tackle, good passer, good in the air, and probably most of all, great engine. I'm sure that anyone who plays alongside him will feel very comfortable. Also, he was arguably the most consistant player in the team last year.
And of course Kyle. He's my favourite player to watch when he's on it! A little Genius!
Players like Lee Stone, Jamie Hopkins & Jamie Breen will love playing with this little fella!

I bet Connie's chuffed he's been allowed to play.

Looking forward to the games

Watched trial, once again a number of players invited did not turn up.

Do not know the reason why, but Connie and Dai have a thankless job.

People knock them for not picking certain people, yet when they do they fail to show, so I for one do not blame them for picking boys who they know they can trust and will not let them down.

Looking at the game, the greens were made up of all the Carmarthenshire league boys topped up with Clarke and Yates from Ragged and to be honest were the better side who looked fitter than the Swansea boys, especially in the 2nd half, a few of the whites went missing and cheated a little due to lack of fitness.

I would have thought that the squad will be made up mainly of the greens with a few of the whites making it to balance it out.

Anyway best of luck lads for the competition.

I agree with unbiased the Greens looked like they all knew each other with the way they played, & they played very good football. I heard Rico with Saints saying the Llangyfelach boys were playing five a side at play football that s why they were nt there, if that s true it is shocking, unless they think they are not good enough for this standard. I thouroughly enjoyed this game from start to finish, there was no quater given by either side.
The players who stood out for me from the Whites were the right back, also Dutton, Clark Left back, Norman who put some big tackles in & kept going all game along with Ali, & my man of the match young boy morgan who by far was the most talented player on the pitch. Boy Ali tried hard but his passing let him down badly, a few times only had to give it to the young boy, but looked for the hard ball, yet last year with the fella clarke who played on the other side was a different player, same can be said of clarke too, but did nt look very good too on this night although he played on the other side with the greens. The fella from colts lovely footballer but found out by the pace of the game, excellent touch player but do nt forget this pitch is huge compared to what u used to play on. I think the occasion got to some as the boy Morris from Ragged on the night was shocking, yet they play in big games all the time, shows when you re out of your own comfort zone not everyone responds positivley.
I agree with unbiased the three in the middle for the greens were far better as a unit, The boy Jones was solid with Bowen excellent all game & the young lad also, tall boy up front was good too & right hand side of midfield, boy yates played well too, boy stone looked very comfortable, but he never let himself be put under any pressure just shows how good he is. The 2 goalies did nothing wrong, so a big call there.
Be interesting to see who s picked Connie picked 5 from Ragged that night although people just filled in for those who pulled out, be interesting to see who he puts in, because he always seems to stick with people who wont let him down, so I feel he will keep all the players he had last year rather than take a chance, but we ll see.
Interesting

Mark,

I agree with almost all of what you've mentioned.

Kyle was without doubt the most talented and most exciting player on the park! Took his goal superbly and nearly scored from 35-40 yards only for a great save from the keeper. He possesses great awareness and vision and has a knack of finding so much space. He must be high up on Connie's selection list!
Lee Stone and Dutton must be the heart of defence! Both outstanding again!! R Clarke was also excellent although the wide player that he marked was a handful aswell.
I felt for JJ as he has played most of the season with a groin injury and his lack of fitness showed at times. Nevertheless, he's a great footballer!
I thought J Norman was a little out of his depth on the night and a couple of yards off the pace. Snapped at a few ankles but was never really a threat to the greens. Again, not fit or quick enough on a big pitch.
R Alli made 2 great runs 1 hitting a post, but was left a little exposed in whites midfield. With his attacking play he needed a someone to sit a bit more.
Morris offered very little up front on his own, unlike the two up top for the greens. There movement and link up play was very good.
I thought the 2 Gors boys Butt and Miller had very good games considering they did not feature in these fixtures last year, and maybe worth a shout in the squad?
Thought both keepers done well when asked, although Sparksey had no chance of Lee Stone's goal. Superb strike fella!
Looking forward to the games, but i think we really need Jamie Hopkins fit and playing.

All the best

Went to stebo this week to watch the trial and i got to be honest it was a cracking game even tho it was just a trial.
looking at the squad connie has picked i would agree he has probably picked the best players which were on offer.
as for the game i think the green team were the better on the night a lot of experienced and young good players who jelled well on the night.
i think connie has got to go with a 3 5 2 formation 4 4 2 is in the past and the 3 5 2 is the formation which is best for the wingers which i think should be kyle morgan and rob cunnah.but i DO NOT think that kyle morgan was the best talent on show!!! did he have man of the match?? thought it might have gone to a green shirt myself..
as for the keepers i think both look capable brian sparks was the busiest but darren evans pulled off 1 or 2 crackers and looked comfatable on the ball and his distrebution was second to none but it would be a close one to call for connie.
in the back lee stone was most definatly the best player on the pitch , showed he can break forward and strike a football if needed..what a goal!!!!!!!and with dutton and standen they should make a cracking back 3.
in midfield jamie bowen and ceri jones and ashley pass worked well together i thought they give the whites the run around in the first haf and kept the ball well.
raymond alli and the other two lads in the midfield of the white team worked hard but they were up against better players which i think they would admit. thinking about it.....who would you drop to put alli in the team instead of??? descent player, but didnt get anywhere near jamie bowen, ceri jones or ashley pass, in terms of ability, technique or quality, on the night. tough descision for connie and dai.......
as for strikers i think jamie hopkins is a must and then im not sure wayne williams could be a good target man but his fitness may be questioned who would you pair jamie with????maybe bowen as he can work the line well and knows where the net is!
well had my opinon whats yours???????

kyle should deffo be in with a shout, plays football with ease he reminds me of neil phillps when he was younger and to say he is to young i just dont get that. Even if he is on the bench he be good to bring on in the last 20 mins for 1 or 2 overweight ragged players and would turn the game. o.m.i jix saw
